the 90th Anniversary Remembrance Parade of Allan Wilson of Pietermaritzburg 25.03.2018

I had the pleasure of attending the 90th Anniversary Remembrance Parade of Allan Wilson of Pietermaritzburg held at their Remembrance Garden. It was a superb hot sunny  day with 21 Allan Wilson Moth on Parade & about 17 visitors. Unfortunately the Padre Craig had been delayed from his church and A.G.M. so that he was not able to officiate, but the Remembrance proceeded at 10,30am. A very moving ceremony conducted by Old Bill Johann also a very enlightening address about the past from 1969 to the current time. And with Deputy Old Bill Paul Milton reading the MOTH prayer.

The trumpeter  Simon Stickells played the Last Post and the Reveille on the trumpet – Very well done ! !

At the conclusion of the Remembrance Parade all broke into harmony and returned to Allan Wilson for refreshments.

Many thanks Allan Wilson – Legionnaire Peter Shattock
